Thanks to Flempton Golf Club who provide the following history on Culford on their website:-

“From the earliest years of the clubs formation the Culford Hall Estate has had strong links with Flempton Golf Club.

At the time of the clubs formation in 1895, Culford Hall was the Suffolk Country Seat of the 5th Earl and Countess of Cadogan. The minutes of the club show they were both elected Full Members in 1902.

The Earl was elected Captain in 1923."

Following the death of the Earl of Cadogan in 1933 the estate was broken up and the Hall was purchased for the East Anglian School for Boys (nowadays Culford School).
