Weobley Golf Club, Herefordshire. (1930s) 

The following report appeared in the Hereford Times on Saturday 24 May 1930 “A public meeting was held on Thursday evening of last week for the purpose of re-forming a golf club. The following were appointed to get names of those willing to become members; Dr J S Clarke, Mr Lucas, Mr Rutter and Mrs O Sullivan. There was formerly a nine-hole course at Weobley” 

It was reported on Saturday 21 June 1930 that “The Weobley Golf Club was officially opened on Thursday of last week, and there were about 50 people present to see matches in which Mr Guest and Mr Holden met Mr Chambers and Mr Stuart Jones; and Mr Marsh and Mr Pantall met Mr Grant?and Mr Hughes”
