At the annual meeting on Tuesday 17 March 1931, the chairman, Rev. O F Jackson, said the scheme at Aston Park, Oswestry, where they had constructed a new golf course and clubhouse, had cost £2,966, of which all but £230 had been raised. The club membership now stood at 220, and if it was increased to 300 the club would not have the least financial anxiety.
