Teesdale Golf Club, Wise Hill, Durham. (1890s - 1940)

Founded 1890/98 at Wyse (Wise) Hill the club was reconstituted in 1907. It moved in location in 1907 from the Wyse Hall site to a course located at Marwood. It was stated that the move was to a "location nearer the railway station," there was always a concern with the remoteness of the old course.

Lord Barnard presided at the annual dinner of the Teesdale Golf Club which was held in the Masonic Hall, Barnard Castle, in September 1902. The winner of Lord Barnard's Trophy was the Rev. Hartley Jennings, vicar of Starforth, who was presented with a silver rose bowl, he being the winner of Lord Barnard's Trophy.

There is no entry for Teesdale Golf Club in the 1905 Nisbet's Golf Yearbook.
