Allendale. (1907 - 1991)

The club was founded in 1907 with a course at Thornley Gate. It moved to its present location at High Studdon in 1992.

In 1947 the secretary was W Watson, Lloyds Bank House, Allendale and the greenkeeper H Stephenson. A nine-hole course with a Par of 64 and SSS of 65. Amateur course record holder was T Edgars, 68. Visitors’ fees were 2/- a day.

In 1991 the secretary was J C Hall. 9 holes total yardage of 4,488 yards and SSS of 63. Visitor’s fees £4.

Thornley Gate was the location of the Allendale course prior to its move to High Studdon.
