In 1914 the secretary was Robert Potter and the professional P Stenson (1911 - 1915). An 18 hole course situated on the edge of the moor 900ft above sea level the clubhouse was adjacent to the tram terminal. Entry fee was £3/3/0 and subs £2/2/0. Club membership of 225. Visitors’ fees were 1/- a day, Bank Holidays 2/6 a day, 5/- a week. The railway station at Huddersfield was 3 ½ miles away.
Lindley Golf Club disappeared after WW1 and the current Outlane Golf Club appears from this time.
