Launceston Golf Club. (1908 – WW1)

The original club first appeared in 1908.

It was reported in the Cornish and Devon Express in April 1908 that "The Launceston golf links will be an established fact before long."

In October 1911 the course was reported to be in excellent order. B Willis, the club professional, set a new course record of 71, the par of the course being 78. Details of his round; Out – 4,4,4,4,4,4,6,4,3 = 37; Home – 4,3,4,4,3,4,5,4,3 = 34.

The earlier club went into decline prior to WW1.

The current club opened in June 1927.
