Bridestowe Golf Club, Devon.
It was formally opened in April 1930 with an exhibition match between P C Morgan (Okehampton) and E Hooker (Yelverton), Morgan won by five holes. It was a nine hole combined meadowland and moorland course and was attached to the Fox & Hounds Hotel. The course was laid out on land behind the hotel. The sixth and seventh holes were 1,250 feet above sea level with wonderful views over Dartmoor and on to Cornwall.
