Glenisla Golf Club, Alyth, Perthshire. (1995 - 2016)

The club and course opened in 1995.

The eighteen-hole course was designed by Tony Wardle, a golf architect who had worked alongside Robert Trent Jones and Jack Nicklaus.

Developed originally by the Glenshee Chairlift Company as a summer business to make use of its full-time ski employees during the off-season, it was bought out of receivership by the Somerville family in 2004.
The Glenisla Golf Club closed on October 31st 2016. The club had a membership of 150 at the time of closure. It was planned to use the course for a housing development.

It was reported that there’s a chance that a new nine-hole course may be developed on the site at some point in the future but, if that happens, it would be years from now.
