The following is taken from the 1905 Nisbet's Golf Yearbook; North Uist (Spelt North Mist) - Instituted 1894; Station at Lochmady Pier, 6 miles; Hon. Treasurer - T D McGregor, Caledonian Bank, Lochmaddy; Captain, A McElfish; Entrance fee, nil and subs 10 shillings; Nine-holes. The course, if in order, is an excellent one, but it has not been regularly played on for some years.

Oban Times and Argyllshire Advertiser Saturday Saturday 21 March 1925; "The North Uist Golf Club held a competition on7 March for a prize presented by Mr A Macdonald, The Stores. Unfortunately a N.W. wind accompanied by hail and snow experienced, and owing to severe climatic conditions, together with the exposed nature of the course the competition was suspended. There was a gratifying turnout of members."
