It was reported in January 1937 that the Fort William course (see separate entry) was being considered for housing development. In the same article it was suggested that the Corpach course could be taken over for the carbide factory buildings in connection with the Caledonian Power scheme. It was suggested that the two clubs could come together with a view to securing an 18-hole course on ground between Fort William and Corpach. A tract of land skirting the base of Ben Nevis at Claggan was under consideration and it was expected that the British Aluminium Company, the owners, would be approached on the matter.

From 1940 to the club’s disappearance following WW2, the secretary was Lieutenant D R McGillivray and the greenkeeper D McLachlan. The amateur course record holder was James Stewart (33). Sunday play was not allowed. Other information remained unchanged.
