Ouse Valley Golf Club, Biddenham. (2000 – 2012)
When Bedford Golf Club left the Biddenham course in 2000 the Ouse Valley Golf Club moved in.
The Ouse Valley club was listed in Golf World in 2003 as a “Members and Public course. The secretary was M Rizzi; 18-holes, 6,305 yards, par. 72.”
When members arrived at the course in July 2012 they were shocked to discover that the course had been repossessed. There was a notice from the bailiffs stating that they had been authorised to act on behalf of the landlords. It stated possession had been taken; “pursuant to the provisions of the lease dated 2 March 2009 made between the landlord and the tenant. Accordingly, the aforesaid lease has now been forfeited as a result of this action.”
The club closed in 2012.
