Report on the course in July 1893.
From "Golf" Friday 15 September 1893; "Mr H M Bell last week reduced the record of the Conington Castle course to 83. He played all his approaches with one of Anderson's new irons, in which the shaft enters a socket immediately behind the point of impact, and not at the heel of the club as in Carruthers patent."
