The annual meeting was held at the George Hotel on 15 September 1898, O Edmonds in the chair. The accounts showed an adverse balance of about £7 chiefly owing to expenditure incurred in cutting grass to make the course playable. R B Upcher was elected captain for the season; Mr Iggulden re-elected hon. secretary and treasurer. It was hoped to open the links for play at an early date.
