Buckden Golf Club, Cambridgeshire. (1906 - WW1)
In 1906 the secretary was W Hunnybun, Field House, Buckden, Hunts. The record amateur score of 38 was held by J A Ennals. A 9-hole course. Visitors’ fees on introduction were 1/- a day and 6/- a week. Stations at Buckden (Midland Region) and Offord & Buckden, (Great Northern Region) were both 1 mile away. Local hotel was the George. Three prominent members were the ubiquitous Francis C Sydney Green a Gentleman farmer living at the Coneygarths, High Street the Reverend Deane and Alexander Copping a Flour Salesman of Oak Lawn.
There is mention of a new course in 1912 unfortunately the location was not found.
In 1914 the secretary was P W Priestly, The Red House.
Buckden Golf Club disappeared after WW1.
