Ripley Golf Club, Derbyshire. (1912 - 1920s)
Founded in 1912.
Below is the first mention of the club.
On the 14th January 1914 a dance and whist drive promoted by the Ripley Golf Club was held in the Town Hall .
In April 1919 a meeting was called to decide whether the club should carry on, it was unanimously decided to continue. The following officers were elected; President, A Wassell; captain, J Williams; vice-captain, G T Cotterill; treasurer, C S Elliott; joint secretaries, F J H Jephson and T E Wassell.
A general meeting was held at the Crown Hotel on Wednesday 3rd September 1919 to consider the reopening and reorganising of the golf club. The opening date was fixed for Saturday at 2.30pm.
On Saturday 8th May 1922 a team from Nottingham University College visited the Ripley Golf Club, result below.

It was reported in March 1923 that at an adjourned meeting of the club chaired by Councillor F J H Jephson the present club should be wound up as a duty to the guarantors. A further meeting was to be held at Codnor with the idea of forming a club which would embrace the districts of Heanor, Langley Mill, Codnor Park and Ripley.
Nothing further was reported and the Ripley club continued.
In February 1928 the club held a successful dance. Lady members of the club made themselves responsible for the proceedings.
In March 1932 the death was announced of Alfred Jones. Mr Jones had been grounds-man of the OLD Ripley Golf Club at Street Lane.
One of the pioneers of the old Ripley Golf Club, Mr John Williams, died in April 1954.
