Breedon Priory Golf Courses, Wilson, Bredon-on-the-Hill. (1990 – 2023)
The courses were located on the border of the Counties of Leicestershire and Derbyshire.
Initially a twelve-hole course it was eventually extended to 18-holes. The main 18-hole Priory Course, Clubhouse and Health Club were located on Green Lane, Wilson, near Melbourne.

There was also a later Academy Course and a Par Three course to the south of the main course. In about 2017 the Breedon Family Golf Centre appears.
The following message appeared on the Breedon Priory Golf Centre website – “We regret to announce that both the Academy and Par 3 courses will close permanently as of 1 January 2023. In the current economic climate, the operation of the courses has become unsustainable given the combination of rising costs and declining usage. We would to express our sincere thanks to all who have supported golf at Breedon and Wilson over the last 30 years.”
Breedon Priory Golf Club, The Priory Course was established in 1991. The course matured quickly and presented players with a really challenging course. Some tight fairways, well protected greens, and water on some holes also, demanded accuracy. It was kept in outstanding condition throughout by the dedicated team of green-keepers.
