First appeared in 1925, when the secretary was S Everett, Harborough House, Blaby, telephone number Wigston 79. The professional was J Minchin. A 9-hole course. Visitors’ fees were 2/- a day, weekends 2/6 a day.
The winner of the ladies' monthly roving competition in October 1926 was Mrs C M Beck.

In May 1934 R W Simons the young Croft professional left to take up a similar position of the new Holms Golf Club.

In August 1938 H B Howe holed in on at the fourth hole. This was the fourth hole in one he had achieved on the course.
In October 1939 Howard Clark was elected honorary secretary of the club.
In 1940 the secretary at Croft Golf Club, Telephone Sutton Elms 264 was Howard Clark, 25 Westhill Road, Leicester. The professional was E Allen. The 9-hole course had a SSS of 70 and a membership of 100.Visitors’ fees were 1/6 a day, Sundays 2/6. The station at Croft was 5 minutes away. Buses from Leicester passed the clubhouse.
N S Spence presided at the annual meeting held at the Bell Hotel in April 1940. The question of continuing the club was discussed. It was decided to continue, members promising support and a committee of six was formed. W J Bennett was appointed secretary.
