Kingsway Golf Course, Scunthorpe. (1971 – 2017)
The club was founded in 1971.
The original nine-hole was designed by R D Highfield and measured 3,830 yards (18-holes) with a SSS of 59.
World famous Scunthorpe golfer Tony Jacklin opened the course.
New course record in August 1976.
In the mid 1980s and early 1990s the secretary was R D Highfield and the professional Chris Mann. Visitors’ fees were £1/10p, Juniors and OAPs, 50p (1988) £2 (1991.)

The course continued to be listed in the Golfer's Handbook until it ceased publication in 2015.
It was reported in December 2017 that the council owned course would be closing to make way for a proposed country park/nature reserve. The golf club had been making a loss for several years both in playing numbers and financially.
A petition was raised to try and save the course but to no avail.
