Weston Park Golf Club, Weston Longville, Norwich. (1993 - 2017)
The club was founded in 1993.
The Briggs family developed the golf course and turned the impressive country house into an elegant clubhouse. Large parts of the arable area were returned to deer parkland under the Countryside Stewardship Scheme.
The eighteen-hole parkland course measured over 6,600 yards with a SSS of 72 and was designed by Golf Technology.
The professional in the 1990s and 2000s was Michael Few. In 2006 the scretary was A N Payne, the club had a membership of 550.
The Weston Park Golf Club closed in 2017 to make way for the Royal Norwich Golf Club.
In March 2017 the Royal Norwich Golf Club decided to sell their course on Drayton High Road to developers. This resulted in Royal Norwich moving to Weston Longville, this newly developed course opened in September 2019.
