Sutton Coldfield Golf Club. (1889/91)
Founded in 1889 and originally situated at the Park Gate side of Sutton park.
They moved to the other side of the Park (less congested) in 1890 where it remains.
The course layout below shows the earlier course. The orientation of the map shows North pointing to the bottom, therefore, to help with identification of the holes, the top map has been rotated.
The Ordnance Survey Map below is from the 1880s. The course ran from the N.W station to Wi(y)ndley Pool.

The following report from March 1891 is from the Walsall Observer - "Permission was granted to the golf club to lay out golf links in the park near Streetly Station, it being stipulated that golf should not be played in any other portion of the park between March 1st and October 1st."
