Report from the Birmingham Mail 18th February 1914. "The Perry Hall Golf Club have decided to spend £200 towards improving their clubhouse, which, under their new lease with Lord Calthorpe, they have to remove to another site. The club is also making considerable improvements to the course in the form of new bunkers and materially altering some of the holes. The fourth hole has been completely reconstructed, and altered from a blind hole to a good mashie shot on to an island green."
