City of Coventry (Brandon Wood) Golf Coure, Brandon Lane. (1977 – 2020)
The 18-hole public course opened in 1977 and was laid out by Atherstone Landscape and Sportsfield Contractors.
The following joint statement was issued by the Coventry Sports Trust and Coventry City Council – “It is with regret that we have to announce that Brandon Wood Golf Course will not reopen once lockdown ends on Wednesday 2 December 2020. The golf course is operated by Coventry Sports Trust on land owned by Coventry City Council and has been loss-making for some time. These challenges have been exacerbated by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.”

The course was formally opened on Friday 30 September 1977.
