Thanks to Michal Morrison for the following information on the “New Course” taken from “Golf” 29 April 1892. “Hexham Club — The new Golf course on Tyne Green, Hexham was formally opened on Friday last, when several of the members, as well as one or two visitors from the Ryton Club, took part in a handicap. The new course is a decided improvement upon the old one, and was very favourably commented upon by several well-known and experienced golfers who played over it. The holes are admirably situated, and there are a sufficient number of “hazards” to give increased interest to the game.”

At the annual meeting held in April 1893 the financial statement was presented and passed. The following officer were elected; President, W Ridley; secretary and treasurer, Isaac Baty; committee – G H Bell, W Crichton, J H Nicholson, J T Robb, T L Temperley. Several new members were elected.
