Lofthouse Hill Golf Club, Lofthouse, Wakefield. (1994 – 2019)
Founded 1994.
Originally a nine-hole family run course laid out by B J Design measuring a total of 6,014 yards with a SSS of 70. The intention was to extend to 18-holes by 1998.
The early professional was Brian James.
In 2004 it was listed as an 18-hole parkland course measuring 5,933 yards with a SSS of 66. The professional was Derek Johnson.
The club closed in November 2019.
The following message appeared on the website “It is with regret and sadness that we have to announce that Lofthouse Hill Golf Club closed on Tuesday 12 November 2019.”
The last competition was played on Saturday 9 November and raised £205.55 for the British Legion.
