Ferrymoor Golf Club, Engine Lane, Shafton, Barnsley. (1930- WW2)
First appeared in about 1930 when the secretary was J Cumming, 78 Newtown Avenue, Cudworth, Barnsley. Local hotels were the Royal and the Queens.

The competition prize giving took place at the annual ball held in Cudworth Village Club, the trophies were presented by Dr. and Mrs T F Quigley; Women's Section; Walker Rose Bowl and Captain's prize - Miss Brooksbank; Eclectic Competition - Mrs Scholey; Monthly Spoons - Miss McIntosh, Miss W Madeley, Mrs R Wainscoat, Miss Brooksbank, Mrs Scholey, Mrs Bailey; Men's Section; Walker Cu - C Bailey; Legard Cup - C Petch; Captain's Prize - G Hoyland.

In 1940 the secretary was E E Winstanley. A 9-hole course with a SSS of 68. Visitors’ fees were 1/- a day, 2/- on Sunday and bank Holidays. There was a local bus service to the course.
Advert selling the course equipment October 1941 - Three gang mower nearly new, etc.; can be seen from 2 to 5 pm on October 16th, best offer - Ferrymoor Golf Club, Engine Lane, Shafton, Barnsley.
The club did not appear following WW2.
