The secretary was Captain A T Taylor, telephone Ecclesfield 40059 and the professional H Clarkson. 18-hole course. Records were, amateur J Doherty 70, professional M Griffiths 68. Stations at Rotherham 5 miles and Wentworth 2 miles. Sunday play allowed during afternoons and evenings. The course was the private property of the Right Hon the Earl Fitzwilliam, and visitors were not allowed to play unless playing with a member or with special permission.
