Standish Court Golf Club, Wigan. (1995 - 2012)
The club opened in 1995.
The 18-hole parkland/woodland course was designed by architect Patrick Dawson. There was an attractive purpose built clubhouse with changing rooms, spike and lounge bars. Hogan’s Bistro offered food throughout the day, seven days a week. Stuart McGrath was club professional.

The club closed in March 2010 when bosses suddenly called staff together to tell them that the course was closing with immediate effect and was going into voluntary liquidation. Members were contacted by email and must have been devastated by the news. The entrance to the course was blocked by a large shipping container although some members still managed to get on to the course to play a few holes.
