Bolton Open Golf Course, Longsight Park. (1999 -2014)
The club opened in 1999.
The club was listed in the Golfer’s Handbook until 2014.
Originally an 18-hole parkland course with mature trees and undulating fairways it was reduced to nine-holes by closure. There was also a driving range.
Course measurements; White Tees – 5,715 yards Par 68; Yellow Tees - 5,550 yards; Red Tees – 5,364 yards.
The early reviews regarding the golf course where reasonably encouraging. Unfortunately, towards the end of its existence, the course had deteriorated and the club closed in 2014.
