Bacup Golf Club, Cow Toot Farm Course. (1910 - 1916)
The original nine-hole course was laid out at Cow Toot Farm by T G Renouf.
Report on the new club in June 1910.
The course opened on 2 July 1910 with a match between the Mayor of Bacup, Alderman John Henry Maden, who was also president of the club, and Joseph Entwistle, the club captain.
Result of a competition played in May 1912 for a prize given by Mr J Horrocks; G C Smith, 107- 24-83; S McLerie, 112-27-85; E J Cropper, 112-24-88; J Entwistle, 101-12-89.

From the Rochdale Observer Saturday 27 June 1914 - "For the third year in succession J H Brearley has won the captain's prize. Meeting George Shepherd in the final he won by three up and two to play. The prize was a solid silver bon-bon dish."
The club moved to Bankside Lane, the current course, in 1916.
