Hemsted (Hempsted) Park Golf Course, Benenden. (1890s)
Hemsted Park historically known as Hempsted Park, country estate and manor house near the village of Benenden.
The eighteen-hole course was laid out by Tom Dunn on the estate of Lord Cranbrook at Benenden.
First mentioned in “Golf” in September 1890.
Guided tour of the golf course in December 1890.
It was confirmed in Golf in May 1891 that Tom Dunn had visited the Hemsted Estate to lay out the golf course for Lord Cranbrook.
