Tenterden Golf Club, Kent. (1905 - 1920)
The club was founded in 1905.
The original 9-hole course was at Leigh Green, it moved to its current location in 1920.
Result of a stroke competition played on the 25th October 1906, prizes presented by Mrs Goodwyn Stephenson. Rev J Jervis, 88-16-72; W N Beale, 97-15-82. Miss Baker, 118-19-99 won the ladies' competition. It was stated at this time that the "links were in good order, the additional holes will shortly be completed."
In 1913 the secretary was J W Echen. Membership of 40. Entrance fee 11/-, ladies 10/6, subs £2/2/0/ and £1/1/0. Visitors' fees 1/6 a day, 5/- a week and 15/- a month. Sunday play was not allowed.
