From the Middlesex County Times Saturday 11 November 1933 – “It is not true that there has been any definite decision to close Perivale Park Golf Club next March. Notice has been given by the proprietor to terminate the present arrangements but there is a proposal under consideration for the formation of a members’ club, and the proprietor has indicated that this would be agreeable to him.”
During the mid 1930s there was constant speculation on the future of the golf course. Ealing Council were putting forward proposals to reduce the course to nine-holes with the rest of the land being used for recreational purposes; football, cricket, tennis etc.
A suggestion was made in April 1938 that the course should be extended to 18-holes. It was turned down by the council.
It seems that play took place on the golf course during this period in a haphazard fashion.
