In 1940 and to its final appearance just after WW2 the secretary was L E G Marks, 19 Stonard Road, Palmers Green and the professional and greenkeeper E Blinko. A 9-hole course with a SSS of 68 and a membership of 108. Visitors’ fees were 1/6 a round and 2/6 a day. Sunday play was not allowed. The station at Winchmore Hill was 15 minutes away.
The Ordnance Survey Map below shows Firs Lane in the late 1930s. Interesting to note the road off Firs Lane is called "The Fairway" usually a good indication of the existence of a golf club/course nearby.
