West Dean Golf Course, Goodwood, Sussex. (1900s)
Appeared in the early 1900s the professional in 1914 was George Chalk.
It is interesting to note that G Chalk was the professional at Chichester and Summersdale Golf Clubs.
Mention of "0ne of the finest nine-hole courses in England" in the advert below in June 1918.

There is evidence that there could have been a course in the grounds of West Dean House during the 1950s. This is still to be confirmed.
