Culdrose Golf Club, Royal Naval Air Station Course, Helston. (1961 – 2011)
Founded in 1961.
Originall a nine-hole course it was eventually extended to eighteen-holes.
There was anger when the course closed after 50 years in 2011. A spokesperson for Culdrose said “Recent refurbishment of the airfield has resulted in an increased number of radio and radar installations. For safety reasons, and to avoid the risk of damage to these facilities, it was decided to close the golf course.”
