The first AGM of the South Molton Golf Club was held at the Town Hall in October 1914. Mr W Mountjoy (Captain) presided. The Treasurer, Mr S V Horton, presented the accounts for year ended 29 September which showed a balance in hand of £38. The Hon secretary, Mr R B G Birtell, reported on the course in general and said they would be glad to welcome new members and hoped they would have an increase in membership in the ensuing year.
Mr Reginald B G Birtell, secretary, presided at the AGM in October 1915. Understandably membership had slightly decreased during the last year. The Rev S P Scott was re-elected captain, Mr S V Horton, treasurer and Rev R Leach was appointed assistant hon secretary. Apologies for the quality of the print on the report below.

The First World War probably put paid to any further progress of the club.
