Chedington Court Golf Club, South Perrott, Beaminster, Dorset. (1991 - 2010)
Founded 1991, originally a 9-hole parkland course surrounded by woods with many water hazards, extended to 18-holes in the late 1990s. Designed by D Hemstock, P & H Chapman.
In 1998 the professional was Simon Tucker, the course measured 5,924 yards with a SSS of 70. Other facilities; driving/practice range, basic pitch and putt course, there were bar and catering facilities.
Green fees’ were £12 weekdays and £16 weekends.
In 2006 the secretary/professional was B Ritchie. There was a membership of 450. The 18 holes measured 6,047 yards with a SSS of 70. Green fees’ £20 weekdays and £25 at weekends.
The impressive Chedington course finally closed in December 2010 and has been reverted to farmland.
