Halterworth Golf Club, Romsey, Hants. (1900 - WW1)
Founded in 1900.
A nine-hole course laid out on high ground on gravel and loam. Romsey Station was 1 ½ miles away. Local hotel was the White Horse.
In 1906 the secretary was E D Hargreaves, Harefield, Romsey, Hampshire. The amateur course record was held by the Reverend H L Porter with a score of 87. Visitors’ fees on introduction were 3 days free, then 1/- a day, 2/6 a week and 10/- a month.

In 1914 the secretary was Captain Suckling RN and the professional throughout was A Rolfe. The club had a membership of 50. There was no entry fee. Subs for gents were £1 and ladies 10/-. Sunday play was not allowed.
