Tower Hill Golf Club, Bruton, Somerset. (1971 - 1984)
Opened in 1971.
Tower Hill Golf Club was a nine-hole course and was recognised as a good test of golf, with the River Brue amongst its hazards. The original clubhouse was situated in the cellar at Alma House, but this was replaced by a more permanent building in 1978. The club had many changes of ownership, none of whom could seem to make it pay.
The club eventually closed in 1984.
Competition results from July 1973.
