Clouds House Golf Course, East Knoyle.(1890/1990s)
Private course laid out in the grounds of Clouds House for Mr Percy Wyndham. Prime Minister Arthur Balfour was a regular golfing visitor to Clouds House during the 1890s and 1900s.
Devizes and Wilts Advertiser Thursday 26 March 1891 – “Mr A J Balfour intends to take a holiday in Wiltshire, playing golf at Mr Percy Wyndham’s place at Clouds.”
It was reported in April 1894 that Mr Balfour had spent a week golfing at Clouds House.

It was reported in April 1897 that Mr Balfour was to spend most of his recess at Clouds.
Mr Balfour intended to be spend Easter at Clouds in February 1902.
