In 1911 there was no Pewsey Vale but Rushall Park Golf Club, near Pewsey was listed.

In 1913/14 the secretary at this club was O G Radcliffe, North Newnton, Pewsey. A 9-hole course that was situated in parkland ½ mile from Upavon village. Hazards were hedges, trees and a river. The club had a membership 50. There was no entry fee. Subs for gents  were £1/1/0 and Ladies 10/6. Family membership cost £1/5/0. Visitors’ fees were 1/- a day and 7/6/ a month. There was no Sunday play and the course was closed during  May and June. There were stations at Pewsey (GWR) 3 miles and Woodborough (GWR) 2 ½ miles away.

In 1923 Pewsey Vale Golf Club appears, there’s no mention of  the Rushall Park club that appeared earlier. The joint secretaries were L Mason, The Chantry, Pewsey and J A Phillips, Victoria House, Pewsey. A 9-hole course situated west of Manor Farm. The was a membership of 80. The professional course record holder was J H Keppie with a score of 66. Visitors’ fees on introduction were 2/6 a day, weekend and Bank Holiday 3/-, 5/- a week and 10/6 a month. The railway station at  Pewsey was now only 10 minutes from this course.

In 1930 the secretary was L Mason, The Chantry, Pewsey, telephone 73. The professional was R W Beale (1925 to 1936) and the green-keeper W G Wallis. 9-holes with a membership of 95.Visitors’ fess on introduction were, 2/- a day, weekends and bank holidays 2/6, 5/- a week and 10/6 a month.

From 1935 to 1947 the secretary was C H Hunt, Brooklands, Kepnal, Pewsey, telephone 62.The green-keeper was W G Wallis. The 9-holes had a SSS of 69 and a membership of 90. Visitors’ fees on introduction were, 2/- a day, weekends and bank holidays 2/6, 7/6 a week, 15/- a month. The station at Pewsey was ¼ mile away. Local hotel was the Greyhound.
