First appeared in the mid 1920s when the secretary was J A Donnell. The professional was J Scanlan and the green-keeper was M Lelehan. A 9-hole course with a membership of 70. Course records were, amateur Dr P J O’Leary (no score given) and professional J Scanlan with a score of 62. Visitors’ fees were 2/6 a day. Sunday play was allowed without caddies. The station at Kanturk was ¼ mile away.
In 1940 the secretary was C O’Sullivan, River View, Greeane, Kanturk and the green-keeper T O’Sullivan.
A 9-hole course with a membership of 45. Course records, amateur D O Mahoney 70 and professional J Cassidy 67. Visitors’ fees were 2/- a day. Local hotels were the Egmont Arms and Commercial.
From 1947 to the clubs disappearance in the early 1970s the secretary was M J Brown and the green-keeper J Meade. Membership was now 50. Local hotel was the Olympic.
