The course was about three miles from Tullow station and due to the remote location was mainly used by local residents. The captain of the club in 1911 was Lord Rathdonell. Unfortunately the club did not survive WW1.

The Tullow club was reformed in May 1926 by the President of the club the Rev J Mahon. The captain was Mr Roche. The opening drive was struck by Father Mahon in a match between the Father and Dr McCarthy versus J T Crowley and S Roche. The course was situated close to the town on the farm of Mrs O’Connell of the Bridge Hotel, Loughmartin, Tullow. The course was to be called “Hill View Links”

In 1928 when the secretary was M A McNamee, Riverside, Tullow and the greenkeeper M Kiernan. Visitors’ fees were 2/- a day and Sunday play was allowed. The station at Tullow was 1 ½ miles away. Local hotels were Slaney’s and the Bridge.

Below an interesting report on a former professional from Tullow Golf Club by the name of Thomas Terry.
