Derrynane Golf Club, Co. Kerry. (1897 - WW1)
The club was founded in 1897.
Also spelled Darrynane.
A private course laid out in beautiful surroundings on land owned Mr D O’Connell. Guests staying at the Derrynane Hotel and visitors having a letter of introduction were allowed to play. Committee members consisted of Mr D O’Connell, president and captain; Miss P O’Connell, secretary and treasurer and five local gentlemen.
From the Irish Times Saturday 6th March 1897. "A small links exist in South Kerry in one of the loveliest spots in the Kingdom - Derrynane, the home of the O'Connell's. The present representative and descendent of the great Liberator is most good-natured in permitting visitors to play. A snug little inn, the Derrynane Hotel exists on the spot. There is capital sea fishing to be had also, and coast and mountain scenery which is unequalled."

In the early 1900s it was listed as a nine-hole course with holes varying in length from 120 to 400 yards.

The club is listed in the 1916 Irish Golfing Guide.
The club did not appear following WW1.
