Killinbeg Golf Club, Killin Park, Dundalk, County Louth. (1991 - 2014)
The club and course opened in 1991.
Opened as a 9-hole course in 1991, later extended to 12-holes, eventually extending to 18-holes in in 1996.
The later 18-hole parkland course measuring 5,359 yards with a par of 69 was designed by the renowned Eddie Hackett. The course was bordered to the north by Killin Wood and to the south by the Castletown river. It feature two holes with island greens. With its mature trees, demanding bunkers, excellent greens and undulating fairways it provided a blend of challenging golf with stunning scenery.
It was reported in May 2014 that the course was to close with immediate effect. The course would revert to farmland.
News of the closure came as a major shock to those running the club, including captain Paul Hanratty and lady captain Marian Conlon.
