King's County and Ormond Golf Club, Birr, Co. Offaly. (1893 - 1910)
The club was founded in 1893.
A nine-hole course laid out at Baronne Court.
Also known as Ormond and King’s County Club.

The annual meeting was held at Dooley’s Hotel, Parsonstown, on the 24th October 1894, the Earl of Rosse, presided. The following were elected to the committee; The Countess of Rosse; Mr Eaton Dykes; Mr Darby; Mr Marshall; Mr H Bennett; Captain Foulerton Mr T P Fagan; Mrs Marshall, hon. secretary; Mrs Bicknell.

The November 1895 monthly medal was won by Captain Pilkington, Mr Fagan was second.
Below is the result of a match played against Roscrea Golf Club in December 1895.
Following from the Golfing Annual 1895/6; President, Earl of Rosse; Captain, J E Dykes; Hon. Secretary, W K Marshall; Membership of 90. “The course of nine-holes, varying in length from 170 yards to 520 yards, is laid out at Baronne Court, about two and a half miles from Parsonstown. The hazards consist of walls, hedges, streams and rocks. The grass is short both in summer and winter, and the turf is good throughout, a new clubhouse is in process of construction.”
The club is listed as King’s County Golf Club in the Irish Golfer’s Guide 1910.
In 1909/10 King’s County Golf Club disappeared and changed name to the current Birr Golf Club with a course at Glenns, Birr.
