Peterhead Golf Club, St. Fergus Links. (1841 – 1879)
The earlier club was formed in 1841.
The club have played on the current Craigewan Links since 1892.

Extract from a report from the the Aberdeen Herald and General Advertiser Saturday 1 June 1850 – “The members of the Peterhead Golf Club, and of the Peterhead Cricket Club, resolved to spend the day on the links of St. Fergus, in the enjoyment of the bracing and healthful exercise of those particular games, to which they drove out with their flags and insignia. The Golf Club, having been presented by Robert Arbuthnot, Esq. of Mountpleasant, their captain, with a splendid silver medal, to be competed for that day. It was played for by 12 members, in three rounds of holes at the termination of which Robert Walker, Esq., of Richmond, was declared the successful competitor.. Many matches, both of golf and cricket, took place”.

The report below from September 1891 suggests that after twelve years the club is to be resuscitated.
It’s possible that the resuscitated club could have played for a short time on the St Fergus Links before moving to the new Craigewan Links.
