Arrochar & Tarbet, Dunbartonshire. (1905 -WW2)
Founded 1905.
A 9-hole course with a membership of 50 before WW,1 rising to 100 by 1940.
Visitors to the Tarbet Hotel played free; the hotel was situated on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond, the golf course was within a minutes walk and Sunday play was allowed. Other local hotels were the Columbia, Victoria and the Commercial. The Station at Arrochar was ¼ mile away.

In 1923 visitors’ fees were 3/6d a week.
Result of the 1938 June monthly medal; Hugh McDougall (7) and Ian Meek (24) tied on 67net; Wm Munn (12), 68.
Competitions played in May 1939; Monthly medal; D B Torrance (16) 68; Foursomes; Mrs J Horn and Peter Cumming, 74; T H Campbell and James McGourlay, 75.
In 1940 and 1947 the 9 hole course had a SSS of 66. Visitors’ fees were now 5/- a week, 7/6d a fortnight and 10/- a month.
Although the club was still being recorded in the 1950s it had probably ceased to exist following WW2.
