Stronsay Golf Club, Orkney. (1890/1900s) 

The course appeared in the 1890s/1900s at Rothiesholm. It was located adjacent to Sand of Rothiesholm on the west of the island.

It was reported that on Saturday 15th July 1899 the Orkney Golf Club paid its annual visit to the Rothiesholm Links. The competition was played over 36-holes, following are the prize winners; Peter Brass, 169 (Mr Sutherland’s gold medal); A Buchanan, bank agent, 171; John Milne, 173. Over 100 golfers and their friends spent an enjoyable day, the weather was “most beautiful, and the greens in good order.”
